Even Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu shares the same sentiment.

He even sent a note to investors claiming that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X75 modem will remain in iPhones that will launch in 2024.

On the other hand, he believes that the new iPhone 15, which is expected to debut in 2023, will also rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X70 modem.

This just means that iPhone users need to wait until at least 2025 before they can have Apple’s in-house 5G modem.

However, this estimated arrival is still uncertain as Apple hasn’t shared any details regarding its 5G modem.

Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable Apple analyst, also claimed that the new iPhone 15 will still use Qualcomm’s modems.

Will iPhone Users be Disappointed?

Since Apple fans expect better experiences from its rumored in-house 5G modem, some of them may be disappointed if the technology will really arrive late.

But, the Snapdragon X70 modem can still offer fast connectivity. It will be manufactured by TSMC using a 4nm process.

This will ensure that the 5G modem will have better power efficiencies. On the other hand, it is also expected to provide up to 10Gbps download speeds.

Aside from this, it can also offer better coverage, enhanced signal quality, as well as 60%, improved power efficiency.
