FARGO — The Bowler, a longstanding hub of enjoyment and leisure situated on South University Drive in Fargo, is commemorating 65 years of operation.

One method of celebration is through a unique bowling package.

For $65, an individual can secure a bowling lane for two hours during Rock-n-Bowl on Friday or Saturday evenings from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

This special is valid for up to six bowlers per lane and includes complimentary shoe rentals, as per James Tandeski, who has been linked with The Bowler since his grandfather acquired the bowling venue in the early 1990s.

Tandeski noted that his parents, Rob and Jolene Tandeski, took the helm of the business following the passing of his grandfather, James, in 2021.

According to Tandeski, some patrons have been enjoying bowling at The Bowler for 30 or 40 years, and he values the numerous friendships he has cultivated while working in the bowling alley throughout the years.

Until the 1970s and 1980s, The Bowler was famous for its buffet, and Tandeski remarked that every now and then, someone will inquire about it.

“They haven’t been here for 20 or 30 years and will come in still searching for the buffet, but it’s been absent for quite a while,” Tandeski stated.
