RICHMOND, Virginia – The Ouachita men’s swimming and diving squad has ascended into the top 15 in the most recent CSCAA top 25 poll.
The Tigersharks are positioned at No. 13, rising three places from last month’s poll. Ouachita participated in one competition between the polls, where they secured first position at the Delta State Thanksgiving Invite and shattered six program records in the process.
The men are currently the highest ranked team in the NSISC at No. 13. Delta State maintained its position at No. 20 and Henderson State fell to No. 23.
It’s not just the team that is ranked highly this year, Daniel Meszaros presently owns the quickest time in all of Division II in the 200 Freestyle after clocking a 1:34.67 at the Thanksgiving event in Mississippi. Meszaros also ranks tenth in the 100 Free and 11th in the 500 Free.
Other Tigersharks who rank highly in the national performance lists include Zsombor Bujdoso who is seventh in DII in the 400 IM and 14th in the 200 Breaststroke, Miles Schulze ranks seventh in the 200 Breaststroke, Elijah Donaldson places eighth in the 3-Meter Dive, and Ouachita’s 400 Freestyle Relay team currently sits at eighth in DII.
The Tigersharks will return to the water in 2025 when they head to Pensacola, Florida to participate in the West Florida Invitational on Saturday, January 4.
