HARRISONBURG, Va. – Head Coach Tyson Thomas of James Madison has revealed the women’s tennis itinerary for the 2025 spring dual-match season, which showcases a challenging schedule of 21 matches, emphasized by six contests against Atlantic Coast Conference teams.

The Dukes commence the spring with a demanding stretch of 10 matches away from their home court, seven of which are against power-four conference rivals.

JMU will host six matches at Hillside Courts, all during Sun Belt Conference competition.

The spring season kicks off in the second week of January, as the Dukes travel to Tobacco Road for matches against ACC opponents Duke (Jan. 11) and North Carolina (Jan. 12). The subsequent weekend, JMU will quickly journey over the mountain to Charlottesville to challenge Virginia (Jan. 18).

The Dukes then head north for a contest at Syracuse (Jan. 25) before commencing the following month in Blacksburg against Virginia Tech (Feb. 2). JMU has two matches planned in Winston-Salem, N.C., where it will face host Wake Forest (Feb. 8) followed by a neutral match with Furman (Feb. 9).

The Valentine’s Day weekend will be spent in Lynchburg for a duo of matches at Liberty (Feb. 14) and a neutral encounter with Michigan State (Feb. 15). The non-conference schedule concludes in Richmond against VCU (Mar. 1).

Sun Belt play commences with the first two home matches of the season, as the Dukes host Marshall (Mar. 7) and App State (Mar. 9).

Following road trips to Georgia State (Mar. 14) and Troy (Mar. 16), JMU returns home for three consecutive matches at Hillside. The Dukes will square off with Southern Miss (Mar. 22) and South Alabama (Mar. 23) on back-to-back days before battling rival Old Dominion (Mar. 29) to wrap up the month.

The concluding stretch of the regular season involves visits to Texas State (Apr. 4) and Louisiana (Apr. 6), Senior Day against Georgia Southern (Apr. 11), and the regular-season finale at Coastal Carolina (Apr. 19).

The Sun Belt Championship is scheduled for April 24-27 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.
