PNA Survey

Residents of Coventry and Warwickshire are encouraged to participate in a brief online survey regarding their experiences with pharmacy services to evaluate current and future requirements in the region.

This survey is organized by Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council on behalf of their Health & Wellbeing Boards.

The findings from the survey will assist in the development of the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA). The PNA will play a crucial role in guiding decisions regarding future adjustments to pharmacy services in Coventry and Warwickshire. Additionally, the results will assist in commissioning NHS-funded services that may be offered by local community pharmacies. Local authorities and the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) will utilize the PNA in their efforts to commission services aimed at addressing local health needs and priorities.

Councillor Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport at Coventry City Council, remarked: “Pharmacies are integral to local communities, and it is essential that residents voice their opinions to help us gauge if existing services adequately serve the community’s needs.”

“This will also enable us to identify pharmacies that are excelling and recognize any potential service delivery gaps requiring enhancement, ensuring that the Council, NHS partners, and other health entities facilitate access to the finest services available.”

Councillor Margaret Bell, portfolio holder at Warwickshire County Council for Adult Social Care and Health stated: “The survey presents a valuable chance for everyone to express their individual experiences with pharmacy services. Your feedback is greatly valued in helping us maintain support for your health and wellbeing, as well as guiding the future development of pharmacy services. We encourage you to complete the survey and share it with your family and friends.”

The survey is both anonymous and confidential, inviting anyone who frequents a local pharmacy to share their insights by visiting coventry.gov.uk/pharmacysurvey
