This victory marked the 175th head coaching win for WMU women’s basketball coach Shane Clipfell with the Brown and Gold. In this successful outing, Asensio matched her career-high by sinking four three-pointers and securing a personal best of seven rebounds, while Spitzley raised her career three-point total to 92 and continues to add to that tally. The graduate student enters the contest on Saturday in a tie with Leighah-Amori Wool (2017-2020) for the 18th spot in program history for most three-pointers made. Additionally, WMU’s other graduate student Megan Wagner delivered four assists, enhancing her career total to 235, ranking her 16th for most assists in the program’s history.
