ASUS Unveils Sneak Peek at Groundbreaking RTX 50 Gaming Laptops Set for CES 2025

Recently, we reported on a significant data leak that provided insight into a multitude of forthcoming ROG gaming notebooks from ASUS featuring Arrow Lake-HX and Strix Halo processors, alongside RTX 50-series Laptop GPUs. The company has now proceeded to officially tease its ROG Flow Z13 and the ROG Strix 18 laptops, with the videos sourced by VideoCardz. Given that these were merely teasers, the information disclosed was minimal, yet undoubtedly captivating.

The ROG Strix 18 will likely include the Core Ultra 9 285HX and Core Ultra 9 275HX CPUs coupled with NVIDIA “Blackwell” Laptop GPUs, featuring a maximum of a 175-watt RTX 5090 Laptop with 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM. Various other GPU alternatives will also be on offer, with the RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU serving as the entry-level option based on the leaked data. Clearly, the Strix 18 is set to be a formidable and power-hungry desktop replacement laptop, equipped with a substantial 18-inch mini LED display boasting a rapid 240 Hz refresh rate. Undoubtedly, the G18 is not designed to be budget-friendly.

Next, we present the ROG Flow Z13, which has also surfaced in earlier leaks that we have covered. As anticipated from a “Flow” device, the laptop will likely incorporate a detachable keyboard and a compact design, at least by the standards of powerful gaming laptops. At its core, the Flow Z13 will be driven by AMD’s forthcoming Strix Halo APUs, which will feature a Zen 5 “exclusive” configuration with exceptionally potent integrated graphics containing as many as 40 CUs, rendering the system powerful enough to negate the necessity for dedicated graphics.
