Photography ranks among the most broadly-used and impactful brand resources. It serves to convey our narratives authentically and possesses the capability to alter the perception of the University of West Florida. The foremost objective of University Marketing and Communications is to capture images that elevate the brand of the institution.
Photo Repository
University Marketing and Communications offers a vast array of images for the University of West Florida community and the public through the UWF Photo Repository.
Entities wishing to publish images from the UWF Photo Repository must obtain prior permission from University Marketing and Communications and must attribute the University of West Florida.
If you have inquiries regarding the UWF Photo Repository, please reach out to University Marketing and Communications at brand@uwf.edu.
Photography Inquiries
Whether acquiring a photo from the UWF photo repository or coordinating a photo session, photography should effectively enhance the narrative you wish to convey, attract audiences, and inspire them to discover more. The University photographer may be available to capture campus events and activities; however, photography requests should be made as soon as possible for appropriate evaluation.
To make a request, kindly complete the Photography Request Form. Given the increasing demands of the University, not every request may be fulfilled. Currently, University Marketing and Communications has one full-time photographer whose main responsibility is to develop assets that set the UWF brand apart.
For additional details on capturing digital images independently, please consult the Photography Tips Sheet. To arrange training or gather more information, please contact University Marketing and Communications at brand@uwf.edu.
Official Headshots
For details regarding official University headshots for faculty and staff or to schedule a slot for a headshot, please visit the Request a Headshot webpage (MyUWF faculty/staff login credentials are necessary). Headshot sessions need to be arranged in advance through the scheduling calendar.
Regrettably, University Marketing and Communications is unable to provide this headshot service for students at present.
Photo/Video Release Guidelines

Before documenting photos or video on UWF’s behalf, please thoroughly review the resources available via the UWF Brand Portal, including the official photo/video release guidelines, release forms, and recommended practices.
