Pacific’s Rocky Beginning Dims Hopes Against Idaho

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men’s basketball team fell behind early and was unable to recover from a deficit Saturday in a 95-72 outcome against Idaho in the non-conference conclusion at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
 
Senior Elias Ralph amassed a team-best 18 points and seven rebounds. He has recorded double-digit scores in every contest this season for Pacific (5-9). Freshman Carter Benton came off the bench and sank two three-pointers, achieving a career-high of eight points.
 
The Tigers now hold a 16-5 historical record against Idaho (5-8) and 8-2 at home. Pacific’s overall home record stands at 807-454, with 344-222 in the Alex G. Spanos Center and 3-3 this season.
 
Pacific will kick off West Coast Conference play on the road Saturday, Dec. 28 at 5 p.m. against Saint Mary’s. Their next home game is scheduled for Thursday, Jan 2 when the Tigers will host San Francisco at 7 p.m.
