SoFi Stadium Lights Up with Joy as Spark of Love Toy Drive Delivers Holiday Magic for Hundreds of Kids

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) — On Friday, hundreds of young individuals experienced a remarkable day at SoFi Stadium as part of ABC7’s Spark of Love Toy Drive.

“This marks 32 years of collaboration with ABC7 and L.A. County Fire. Spark of Love is centered on the children,” stated L.A. County Fire Battalion Chief Ron Haralson. “Being here at SoFi, this embodies what it’s all about, so this means everything.”

Firefighters from L.A. County were out delivering Spark of Love joy, accompanied by Rams players, cheerleaders, and mascot Rampage.

“This is an extraordinary time of year, and I’m delighted to be involved,” expressed Rams safety John Johnson III.

Amazon contributed two vans brimming with toys and $100,000 to the Spark of Love Toy Drive.

Following a tour of SoFi Stadium, the children enjoyed lunch and selected a toy to take home.

For eighth grader Fernando Rodriguez, he discovered a gift to take back for his mother.

“In most years, I haven’t gotten her anything, and this time I made the choice to think of her instead of myself,” he remarked.

Teresa Samaniego from ABC7 was honored by the Rams with the Playmakers Award, acknowledging all her efforts to ensure Spark of Love takes place each year.

“I can’t express how moved and astonished I am, but I realize that this will aid countless children,” she stated.

Our toy drive will continue until Christmas Eve.
