Teen Summer Excursions

Mobile phones and internet-enabled devices (including laptops, iPads, iPhones, iTouches, Kindles, etc) are not allowed during Teen Summer Excursions. Attendees may possess mobile phones only during the initial and final travel days. Phones must not be utilized while in-country on the itinerary. Should a student bring a mobile device, the Global Works personnel will collect the device upon arrival and retain it throughout the program duration. This policy is intended to ensure group unity and concentrate on the objectives of our program. Parents/guardians can always contact their children via the Home Office.

Participants will have the chance to call home once during the first 5 days of the program and subsequently once per week. Families will be provided with a schedule outlining the days and times when they can expect a phone call prior to the trip’s departure. Please be advised that even though we offer the opportunity for students to call home, it is not mandatory unless considered necessary. We suggest discussing your expectations with your child before the journey.

School Group Excursions

The allowance of mobile phones on a school/group excursion is contingent upon the policy of your group. Your group’s chaperone will inform you of the policy before the trip.

Global Works is not accountable for any lost or damaged mobile phones or electronic devices. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to this policy!
