“Mark Your Calendars: Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships 2025 Dates Announced!”

The 2025 iteration of the Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships – previously known as the British Summer Championships – is scheduled to occur at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield from July 19th-25th, offering seven action-packed days of outstanding racing – featuring the always-exciting relay events.

Although the structure of the competition will remain unchanged, the new title reflects how the Next Gen Championships serve as a platform for participants to compete against the top swimmers in their respective age categories and gain invaluable experience in the competitive setting as they progress in their swimming careers.

The qualification period for the 2025 competition will extend from March 7th to May 11th, inclusive, with additional details and updates to be shared at the start of the New Year. Discussing the significance of the event, Aquatics GB Head of Performance Development Alan Lynn remarked: “The Next Gen Championships are an integral aspect of our Performance Pathway, designed to nurture junior talent and assist them in flourishing as they aim for senior medal achievements. Our goal is to offer the very best swimmers across each age group – from the youngest boys and girls to some of our elite international competitors with substantial global experience – the chance to vie for national titles and demonstrate the fruits of their remarkable dedication in training throughout the season.
