New Delhi [India], December 22 (ANI): Launching a fierce criticism against the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on Sunday labeled the Congress leader as the ‘Chief of Propaganda’, ‘Chief of Photography’ and ‘Chief of Panga’.
Further attacking him, the BJP spokesperson remarked that the Congress party has grown “disillusioned” after their loss in assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra.
“The frustration within Congress has reached its zenith after the electoral defeats in Haryana and Maharashtra. At times, Rahul Gandhi disseminates falsehoods while assuming the role of ‘Leader of Propaganda’, and at other times, he is the ‘Leader of Photography’, previously appearing in Parliament donned in a cap, bag, and shirt, and now as the leader of the panga, Rahul Gandhi has turned to aggression, injuring two BJP MPs and trespassing into the personal space of BJP MP from Nagaland, Phangnon Konyak,” Poonawalla stated.
In the meantime, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati criticized both Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress, referring to them as “two facets of the same coin.” She further accused both parties of engaging in politics under the guise of Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has found himself amidst controversy following his comments on BR Ambedkar. Opposition factions have charged Shah with disrespect towards Ambedkar, a claim that the senior BJP leader has refuted.
In the aftermath of Shah’s comments, Parliament experienced simultaneous protests from both the Treasury and Opposition benches outside the assembly on Thursday morning, resulting in a significant altercation between the two groups, with BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput sustaining injuries.
The ruling BJP MPs demonstrated against the Congress in Parliament’s area for allegedly “insulting” Babasaheb Ambedkar. INDIA Bloc MPs, with Rahul Gandhi leading, staged a protest in Parliament’s vicinity, demanding Shah’s resignation over his remarks concerning Ambedkar.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also asserted that he was shoved by BJP MPs while attempting to enter Parliament, culminating in a confrontation between Congress and BJP MPs during their protests. (ANI)
