“As we prepare for the Christmas festivities, it’s a wonderful time to spend with all of our family up on the Space Station. There are seven of us here, and we’ll enjoy it together,” stated the Space Station Commander.

“One aspect I appreciate about Christmas is the preparation—the anticipation and everyone gathering for the celebrations,” Williams mentioned.

The astronauts intend to savor special meals made with fresh ingredients provided from Earth, allowing them to indulge in traditional holiday practices.

Williams’s duration aboard the ISS has been extended due to technical issues with her spacecraft, initially scheduled for an eight-day journey. She is now anticipated to return in March 2025.
