This role will assist in the daily operations of the video game division at the NBA, concentrating on managing the development process for notable video game products. Responsibilities involve supporting the daily management of video game and mobile gaming collaborators, overseeing the development process for key titles, creating systems to enhance development efficiency, and managing approval processes across marketing and development. Main Duties:
Provide comprehensive partner management support across the NBA’s video game collaborations, including:
Oversee year-round video game development processes, including but not limited to:
Act as the internal authority on all components of the NBA’s video games, including knowledge of game modes, gameplay, and future development strategies
Compile and manage a comprehensive year-round calendar of all development milestones
Monitor and provide all on-court assets for all leagues to video game collaborators to facilitate game builds (e.g., courts, uniforms, accessories, logos, style guides, mascot artwork, etc.)
Evaluate all in-game assets and game modes to verify accuracy and brand safety
Administer embargoes and deadlines for confidential assets going live in-game
Lead various review workflows, including lyrics and soundtrack reviews, script evaluations, packaging, etc.
Coordinate the head scanning procedure to ensure players from all leagues are scanned in-game, involving collaboration with teams, other league departments, video game scanning teams, and players’ associations
Oversee in-game rosters; accountable for ensuring precision in reporting and managing collaborations among multiple departments including development teams, licensing organizations, finance leads, player marketing, etc.
Manage the marketing calendar, ensuring daily approvals and tracking of all assets
Support gaming partner initiatives and programs across product development, marketing, media, retail, and event activations
Monitor all internal support and additional value for the video game division and initiatives
Assist the team and collaborate with internal departments to fulfill gaming partner objectives (e.g., events, marketing, media, global retail strategy, social responsibility, etc.)
Contribute to the monetization of our video game ecosystem by:
Tracking all video game-related proposals and financial details
Creating materials for meetings, presentations, recaps, and essential client communications
Monitoring in-game data related to recurrent consumer spending, engagement, etc.
Support various team processes, including:
Organize and manage regular meeting invitations, including weekly status updates across multiple partners and areas, monthly recurring meetings, and other spontaneous meetings. Responsible for note-taking and post-meeting recaps and follow-up.
Distribute key products to internal stakeholders
Submit and monitor partner ticket requests
Provide miscellaneous hospitality or operational support
