FC Dallas Welcomes Shaq Moore: A New Chapter from Nashville SC

FC Dallas has obtained USMNT right back Shaq Moore from Nashville SC, the teams announced on Friday.

Nashville will get $50,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) and may gain an extra $100,000 in GAM if Moore achieves specific performance benchmarks.

Nashville holds a sell-on percentage for any future transfer of the player outside of MLS.

Moore joined Nashville in 2022 from the Spanish side CD Tenerife and made 83 appearances in total competitions, providing 2 goals and 14 assists. The 28-year-old previously played for FC Dallas’ youth academy before relocating to Spain to advance his professional journey.

He has since gained 19 senior caps for the US men’s national team, netting his first international goal during a 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup match versus Canada.

This acquisition offers FC Dallas a dual-threat capability at fullback as they pursue a rebound season under first-year head coach Eric Quill, who was appointed this offseason to succeed the departed Nico Estévez.

Dallas will commence their 2025 season on February 22 against Texas rivals Houston Dynamo FC (8:30 pm ET | MLS Season Pass).
