O’Connell Aquatics Dive into a Thrilling Season Kickoff!

In competitions involving both boys and girls, the Bishop O’Connell Knights have made a remarkable start to the high school swimming and diving season.

Each squad has secured a series of early-season victories, including wins against the Knights’ main competitors, the St. Paul VI Catholic Panthers. The girls triumphed 152-134 and the boys won 164-118.

O’Connell has also achieved victories over Bishop Ireton and John Paul the Great in additional competitions, with the boys defeating Good Counsel, 170-136.

Notable swimmers and race victors for the O’Connell girls include Stella Mastroianni, Carlin Smittle, Anna Sullivan, Eleanor Wertzler, Elliott Rowan, Molly Kinsella, Anna LeNard, Audrey McKeen, Kalyn Ohara, Payton Masten, Katie Torrey, and Claire Thompson.

Key swimmers for the boys consist of Paul Mullen, Chase Garcia, Timmy Adye, Graham Rowan, Jermaine Worthen, Jordan Koller, Willis Fleming, and Colin Buckhorn.

Leading divers for O’Connell include Isabel Smith, Lilli Lepore, and Leah Close for the girls, along with Rai Detten for the boys.
