SUNY Geneseo Swimming and Diving Dives Deep into Top 25 Rankings!

The men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads of SUNY Geneseo secured positions in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) national ranking, revealed on December 20. Both teams maintained their ranking from the November standings, with the men staying at No. 18 and the women at No. 23.

The committee, which is composed of Division III coaches, evaluates and ranks the top 25 dual meet teams in the country. Their judgement considers outcomes from head-to-head dual meets, performances since the latest rankings, overall season performances, dual meet records, roster alterations (including injuries), and SwimCloud Simulator data. It is crucial to understand that the purpose of the poll is not to forecast the top contenders in a championship meet format.

Each team boasts a record of 3-0, which includes a victory against the Division I competitor Canisius. Recently, the Knights participated in the Kenyon College Total Performance Invite and the Don Richards Diving Invite. Geneseo is scheduled to return to competition on Wednesday, January 15, at Alfred.
