AWARDS — The Waves have received three weekly conference awards this season. Most recently, Madeline Wheeler was honored as MPSF Athlete of the Week on November 18 after becoming the sixth fastest Wave in the program’s history to complete the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:39.57, which also ranks as the season-best for the Waves. Wheeler additionally recorded a time of 5:18.83 in the 500 freestyle, making her the seventh fastest during the 2024-25 season.

Alexandra Browne received the MPSF Athlete of the Week award on October 29. Before this recognition, Browne won all four of her events in Pepperdine’s dual meet against Westmont at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool. She played a significant role in the Waves’ 400 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams, securing first place in both, along with victories in her individual races.

Vivian Vallely was named the MPSF Athlete of the Week on October 8. Her standout moment came from a second place finish with a score of 283.50 in the 3-meter dive on Friday, qualifying for NCAA Zones in the event for the consecutive second year. She then achieved another second-place finish in the 1-meter dive competition on Saturday, scoring 254.95 points.

LAST TIME IN THE POOL — The Pepperdine swimmers last competed at the Trailblazer Invite in Utah in late November, where they amassed 69.50 points over three days and placed 11th. Both Amanda Wong and Delainey Pisaruk reached the finals in all three events (1-meter, 3-meter and platform), with Lexie Martin qualifying for the finals in both the 3-meter and platform events.

ROSTER BREAKDOWN — The Waves bring back all three of their All-MPSF second team selections from the previous year: Alexandra Browne (50 free), Kylie Taylor (100 back) and Amanda Wong (platform). Added to this, Pepperdine has three swimmers who currently hold individual records: Browne (50 free, 100 IM), Taylor (100 back) and Lexi Haymart (500 free). Furthermore, the team retains all members from last year’s record-breaking 200 free and 800 free relay squads, which include Browne, Layla Busquets, Anna Ryan, Taylor, AJ Adams, Lexi Fok, Ansley Halbach, and Lindsay Hemming. The roster is comprised of seven seniors, fourteen juniors, nine sophomores, and five freshmen, totaling 28 returning members and seven newcomers.
