GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 4/4 ranked swimming and diving teams for both men and women commence the new year on home turf, honoring seniors on Friday against the No. 2/6 ranked Indiana. The primary segment of the meet will kick off at 1:00 p.m., with men’s 3-meter diving and women’s 1-meter diving starting at 10 a.m.

About Indiana
Under the leadership of Head Coach Ray Looze and Head Diving Coach Drew Johansen, the Hoosier men and women went undefeated in the Big Ten Swimming and Diving Conference Championships last season, finishing the regular season 8-0 in dual meet matchups. The men placed fourth at the 2024 NCAA Championships, while the Hoosiers secured six of the nine available diving medals—two gold, two silver, and two bronze. The women’s team finished in seventh place at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
 

The No. 2 Indiana men have one dual-meet victory over Cincinnati and one dual-meet defeat against No. 1 Texas. The men’s team kicked off their 2024-25 season at the SMU Classic on Oct. 11, where nine competitors triumphed over then-No. 10 Virginia Tech, No. 12 Texas A&M, No. 13 Louisville, No. 16 Auburn, and No. 19 Auburn. Indiana subsequently secured first place at the Ohio State Invitational on Nov. 23, amassing 2,995.5 points over three days of competition, defeating No. 10 Louisville, No. 11 Ohio State, Yale, Penn State, Cincinnati, Northwestern, and Notre Dame.
 
The No. 6 women possess a 2-1 dual-meet record for the 2024-25 season. Indiana also claimed first at the Ohio State Invitational on Nov. 23, where they gathered 2,526.5 points over three days of competition, outperforming No. 8 Louisville, No. 13 Ohio State, No. 24 UCLA, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Penn State, Yale, Rutgers, and Northwestern. The women tally dual-meet victories against Notre Dame and Cincinnati, but suffered a defeat to No. 2 Texas.
