HOUGHTON, Mich. – Stiven Sardarian from Michigan Tech has been honored as the CCHA Forward of the Month for December, while Logan Morrell has earned the title of CCHA Rookie of the Month.

Stiven Sardarian achieved an impressive CCHA-best of 10 points during December, which included one goal and nine assists, aiding Michigan Tech to a record of 3-2-1. With a league-leading +7 rating, he registered 10 shots on goal and executed two defensive blocks. A highlight of his month was attaining his first collegiate five-point game (1 goal, 4 assists) against Bemidji State on December 14, where the Huskies triumphed 9-5.
 
Sardarian currently stands ninth nationally with 22 points, leading the CCHA in that regard. He tops the league with 14 assists and is in second place with eight goals.
 
Logan Morrell netted a CCHA-leading six goals and added an assist for a total of seven points over six games in December for the Huskies, demonstrating a +6 rating. He achieved 14 shots on goal and had two defensive blocks. Moreover, he secured at least one point in 4 out of 6 games, which included two multi-point performances at Bemidji State on December 13 and 14. In the face-off circle, he succeeded in winning 55 out of 106 draws (51.9 percent).

Michigan Tech is participating in Palm Springs, California for the Coachella Valley Cactus Cup. The Huskies are scheduled to face No. 10 UMass Lowell on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. The second semifinal will feature Holy Cross against Omaha at Acrisure Arena. The Championship Game of the Cactus Cup is slated for 10 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, with the consolation game at 6:30 p.m.
