Unearthing the Truth: Coroner Reveals New Insights into the Tragic Death of Frankie’s Fun Park Teen Worker

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville County Coroner’s Office disclosed new information following the death of a teenager in a heartbreaking incident just days prior to the New Year.

Kamel Sevion Sewell, aged 17, was operating a go-kart when it crashed into an industrial forklift.

As per the coroner’s report, two employees from the park gave authorities contradictory statements concerning the event.

The report indicates that the forklift driver and track manager were engaged in cleaning and preparing the park for inspection. The forklift driver claimed he was informed by the track manager that the track was free for them to cross and complete railing. At that moment, the forklift driver felt the go-kart impact and called 911 upon noticing Sewell.

Nonetheless, this account differs from what the track manager relayed to investigators. According to the report, the track manager stated he notified the forklift operator that karts were still present on the track, yet the forklift operator advanced onto the track anyway.

This incident is still under investigation by South Carolina’s Occupational Health and Safety Administration.
