Capture the Coast: Senator Josh Becker’s Peninsula Photography Challenge

Dear Friends,

We reside in one of the most stunningly beautiful and culturally rich areas in the nation. The Bay Area Peninsula offers beaches, mountains, agricultural lands, and towering redwoods, and also houses Silicon Valley, Stanford University, and residents who are open-minded, creative, inclusive, and compassionate. There is so much to take pride in here.

I encourage you to illustrate your affection for the place you call home by participating in the Peninsula Proud Photography Contest, commencing on January 6, 2025, and concluding on January 31, 2025. I will choose three winners whose works will be showcased in my Capitol Office in Sacramento and on my website.

How to Participate

Please submit your photographs along with entrant details via the web form below. Participants may only submit a single photograph. To ensure the image can be featured in our online gallery without distortion or stretching, photos should be submitted in .jpeg, .jpg, or .gif formats, edited for web in sRGB color space, measuring at least 2000 pixels in width, and no larger than 5 MB. Please click here for additional details on the contest criteria.

• We do not accept photographs sent by postal mail and limit one contestant per email address.
• Finalists must be ready to provide an original, unedited digital file or an original negative, print, or slide.
