DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

The Red Sox Brand & Creative team orchestrates the strategy and implementation for overall team branding campaigns, advertising, content, and the social & digital initiative on Red Sox platforms. We maintain the timeless essence of the Sox brand while adapting to the dynamic digital presence of the team across all digital channels.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The 2025 Red Sox Photography Internship will offer aspiring photographers practical experience in a vibrant professional sports setting. This internship enables participants to support the photography team in capturing game activities, behind-the-scenes content, and marketing materials for the Boston Red Sox while honing their skills and understanding of sports photography and media operations. As part of the Red Sox Brand & Creative team, the Photo Intern will contribute photography throughout the 2025 Red Sox Season. The Photo Intern will collaborate closely with Red Sox photographers, designers, and videographers to meet various visual demands for marketing projects.

TIMELINE:

March 2025-November 2025

DUTIES:

• Contribute to daily game day coverage needs, including photographing pre-game and in-game ceremonies, fan highlights, and game action.
• Edit, caption, tag, and systematically archive and organize all images and files.
• Assist Red Sox photography staff with photo sessions and other daily requirements, such as shooting events on non-game days.
• By the conclusion of the internship, the Photo Intern will create a long-term photo narrative or project of their choice and leave with a comprehensive portfolio.

CHARACTERISTICS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience or coursework in sports photography, news photography, or event photography.
• Able to work 35 hours a week at Fenway Park, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary during the season.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Photo Mechanic is essential.
• Capability to transport and handle photography equipment, with possible travel to off-site events.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and produce content in real-time under tight deadlines, while organizing and prioritizing multiple ongoing projects.
• Must be available from the start of the 2025 season until the conclusion of the potential postseason.
