Diving into the New Year: No. 10/8 Swimming and Diving Team Takes on Mizzou for an Exciting Start to 2025

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville swimming and diving squad is set to travel to the University of Missouri to commence the new year with a dual meet against the Tigers on Friday (Jan. 3) at Mizzou Aquatic Center.

The competition will begin at 11 a.m., with live updates accessible through the Meet Mobile application and DiveMeets. Entry is complimentary and available to everyone.

Cards vs. Tigers

• The No. 10-seeded Louisville men maintain a series lead of 6-1 against Mizzou.
• The No. 8 Louisville women remain unbeaten at 5-0 against Missouri.
• The last encounter between the Tigers and the Cardinals occurred on January 5, 2024, at Ralph Wright Natatorium.
• Last season in Louisville, the men’s team lost 205-89, while the women suffered a 203-96 defeat.

Following three days of competition, the No. 9/7 University of Louisville men’s and women’s swimming teams concluded the Ohio State Invitational. The men’s team secured second place, while the women claimed third.

The Louisville men accumulated 2324.5 points, finishing behind Indiana’s 2857.5, with Ohio State (2050), Yale (1,182.5), Penn State (1,061), Cincinnati (852), Northwestern (237.5), and Notre Dame (Dive only) at 29. The women’s points totaled 1,986, eclipsed only by Indiana  (2526.5) and Ohio State (2413.5), followed by UCLA (1,503), Notre Dame (917), Cincinnati (895), Penn State (746.5), Yale (690), Rutgers (279.5), and Northwestern (114).
