This staggering estimate was further elaborated on by the agency, stating that GTA 6 could surpass $3 billion within the first year.

Forecasts indicate that GTA 6 will generate approximately $3.2 billion within 12 months of its launch this year, with expectations currently set for an October release.

An investigation detailed in the Financial Times assessed the resilience of the gaming sector. The analysis commenced with an in-depth examination of anticipated earnings for GTA 6 upon its eventual release later this year. According to DFC Intelligence’s estimates, GTA 6 could generate $1 billion just in pre-orders.

Ultimately, projections suggest that GTA 6 will significantly exceed the figures achieved by GTA 5 in 2013.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two (Rockstar Games’ parent organization), remarked:
