By Saturday afternoon, we expect a wintry mix as parts of Mid-Missouri experience rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow moving in from the west, becoming widespread by late in the day. This mixture continues into Sunday, with Sunday afternoon showing a complete transition to snow that exits early Monday morning. Travel disruptions are expected to remain significant across the area from Saturday night through Monday morning. Temperatures on the back end of this system drop significantly due to an arctic air mass advancing in from the northwest, leading to lows approaching zero starting Monday night.
