There’s nothing more fulfilling than witnessing a family evolve—capturing their significant moments, documenting their joy, and preserving their happiness through the years. For the F. Family, this past year has been an incredible journey filled with love, life, and new beginnings, and I am genuinely grateful to have been a part of it.
I was fortunate enough to capture their wedding day in February of 2020, just a short time after meeting Sarah through the Rising Tide Society! Little did we anticipate, just weeks after their wonderful celebration, the world would transform in ways we never envisioned. Fast forward to a few years later, and their family has expanded from two to four! In 2023, Sarah contacted me, wishing to document her pregnancy and the year following the birth of their precious baby girl.
Throughout the past year (and a few additional months!), we’ve gathered FOUR times to chronicle their bump-to-first-birthday journey—a true celebration of family, love, and growth. Each session brought its own distinct essence, and collectively, they weave a beautiful narrative of this chapter in the F Family’s lives as they welcomed sweet baby I.
We actually captured S&C’s engagement photos in the park years ago… and since then, we’ve taken maternity pictures, 6-month photos, AND ultimately their year session with both of their children! This park has accompanied them through countless seasons of love, and it is so meaningful to see their story unfold and their family evolve while the location remains, more or less, unchanged. (Other than, of course… the different seasons!) To be the trusted individual to document these milestones is a privilege I truly appreciate. Observing Sarah and Caleb transition from fiancés to newlyweds to parents… it’s something truly special that eludes words!
(Which is why I am immensely grateful to be a photographer!)
From bump to first birthday, this past year has been a testament to love and development. It is such a bittersweet joy to witness babies growing! (How do they grow so rapidly?!) I’m keeping this introduction brief because there is SO much sweetness to share with you below… just know that, as I hit publish on this blog post, my heart is filled with gratitude.
To the F Family: Thank you for allowing me to document your journey. Observing your family grow has been a true delight, and I eagerly await what lies ahead for you all. Here’s to many more milestones, memories, and photo sessions to come!
