The community is welcomed to partake in a mixer organized by the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce, hosted by the Lompoc Family YMCA, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6 at the YMCA, located at 201 W. College Ave., Lompoc.
Accessible to all members of the community, this complimentary event presents an opportunity to discover more about the YMCA’s offerings and services; engage in networking; savor healthy snacks and refreshments; partake in raffle prizes; and tour the facilities.
A key feature of the evening will be the official launch of the YMCA’s newly initiated Teen Activity Program, a dedicated area aimed at empowering middle and high school learners from the Lompoc Unified School District (LUSD).
The center provides adolescents with access to cutting-edge gym equipment; a teen lounge for unwinding and socializing; and a range of programs led by local small enterprises at no cost to students.
The Lompoc Family YMCA, a segment of the Channel Islands YMCA, engages with the community by delivering essential services, which includes school-age childcare at nine local educational sites in collaboration with the LUSD.
Moreover, the YMCA will commence its annual campaign in February, aiming to raise over $110,000 to support crucial community initiatives.
