ALERT: If you are traveling with a dog, please note that the CDC imposes additional rules for bringing a dog into the United States. You must comply with CDC’s stipulations, or your dog will be prohibited from entering the United States. 

If you are transiting (passing through) the European Union:

If your pet is transiting through a country in the European Union (EU) en route to a third, non-EU destination, a transit health certificate for your pet will also be necessary for the EU. This transit health certificate will be identical to that required as if your pet’s final destination were within the EU.
