Diving into Excitement: Women’s Swimming Gear Up for St. Petersburg Classic Relays!

The St. Petersburg Classic Relays will contest against SUNY Oswego and Westminster in this relay-only competition.

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE AT THE ST. PETERSBURG CLASSIC RELAYS

The Red Flash triumphed in the women’s competition with a total of 144 points, outperforming Westminster, SUNY Oswego, and Lycoming in every event.

LATEST COMPETITION

Saint Francis took part in the TYR ’85 Liberty Invitational, securing a third place finish with 1452.5 points.

The Red Flash achieved several top-five placements throughout the three-day event.

Oksana Horova, Kathryn Tanis, Maura Bloss-Rubio and Anna Bernasconi grabbed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:37.41.

Aurem Pifarre posted a time of 5:00.55 in the 500-yard freestyle, earning fifth place. In the mile event, the senior secured fifth position with a time of 17:20.42.

Sara Turner achieved fifth in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:25.71.

Bridget Kurtzweil completed the 100-yard backstroke in 57.23 for fifth place.

Pifarre, Horova, Turner, and Tanis attained fifth in the 800-yard freestyle relay, finishing at 7:42.05.

In the event’s concluding race, the 400-yard freestyle relay, Pifarre, Katie Webster, Bernasconi, and Horova placed fifth with a time of 3:31.26.

Saint Francis will journey to Lexington, Va. to face American, Howard, and VMI on Jan. 18 at the VMI Aquatics Center.
