SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The women’s swimming and diving squad of Union College was back in action, facing a 221-36 defeat to Amherst College on Saturday afternoon at the Alumni Gym Pool.
Junior Drew Hill delivered a commendable performance individually, claiming two top-three finishes and achieving a personal best of 2:01.61 in the 200 butterfly to secure fourth place. Hill was narrowly beaten at the wall, finishing second in the 50 fly with a time of 23.65. The junior also achieved a third-place position in the 100 free, clocking in at 49.52, precisely one second behind the first-place competitor.
Senior Tony Piacentini contributed points in his events with a fourth-place showing in the 1000 free (11:06.38), a fifth-place position in the 200 free (1:59.55), and another fourth-place finish in the 500 free (5:14.76).
