Mavericks Triumph: Women’s Ice Hockey Struggles in 4-1 Showdown Against Minnesota State

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. – On Saturday, the women’s ice hockey team (3-15-1, 2-6-0 AHA) faced off against Minnesota State (10-9-1, 4-9-1 WCHA) to conclude their non-conference schedule. The Lions were defeated by the Mavericks with a score of 4-1, resulting in a season record of 3-16-1, while the Mavericks improved to 11-9-1.

GAME SUMMARY

Minnesota State initiated the scoring in the game, finding the net with just 43 seconds remaining in the first period. By the end of the first period, Minnesota State held a 1-0 lead over the Lions. Lindenwood registered seven shots on goal during the period. Catherine Hodgins compiled nine saves in this period.
