Issac Clark triumphed in two individual events and participated in two victorious relays as the Boone boys’ swim team secured the Ken Gaeth Invite on Saturday, January 4, in Des Moines. 

The Toreadors accumulated 310 points, narrowly surpassing the 309 points of Southeast Polk. 

Clark clinched the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.14 and also emerged victorious in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.06. 

Notably, Boone finished in positions 1-2-3 in the 50 freestyle, with Warren Williams taking 2nd at 22.40 and Carson Mueggenberg claiming 3rd at 22.57. 

These three swimmers—Clark, Williams, and Mueggenberg—together with Simon Enabnit made up the relay teams for both the 200 free relay and 400 free relay, both finishing in 1st place. 

The 200 free relay concluded with a time of 1:31.24, while the 400 free relay finished in 3:20.11. 

Furthermore, Enabnit secured 2nd place in the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.11 and also earned 2nd in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:54.21. 

Chase Mueller placed 2nd in the 200 IM with a time of 2:21.62. 

The 200 medley relay team, consisting of Cooper Jensen, Calvin Cook, Cooper Santi, and Carden Nerem finished in 3rd place at 151.26. 

Santi and Mueller also finished 4th and 5th in the 100 fly, with times of 101.79 and 102.00, respectively, while Santi and Jensen finished 4th and 5th in the 100 back at 102.91 and 103.42, respectively. 

The team standings at the competition showed Boone leading at 310, followed by Southeast Polk at 309, Grinnell at 153, Indianola at 150, Cedar Rapids Jefferson at 117, and Des Moines East at 113.
