Bow Girls Shine with 4th Place Finish at Oyster River Invite: Sunday’s Swim and Track Highlights!

Girls’ Swimming

Bow secured 4th, John Stark 13th

Key performers: Bow – Lena Thompson (1st in 50 free in 26.42 seconds, 1st in 100 fly in 1:01.93), Ava Popielarz (2nd in 200 IM, 4th in 100 breast), Emily Hou (6th in 200 IM), 200 medley relay (5th), 200 free relay (5th), 400 free relay (5th); John Stark – Hailey Leung (6th in 100 breast)

Highlights: Thompson claimed victory in two events and the Falcons achieved top five finishes in all three relays, placing fourth out of 17 teams at the Oyster River Holiday Invitational at the University of New Hampshire’s Swasey Pool on Sunday. The leading five teams included Oyster River (260), Dover (193), Exeter (170), Bow (137), and St. Thomas (132). John Stark ended up in 13th with 17 points. Emily Hou, Sabine Karanouh, Thompson, Popielarz, Maya Owen, and Olivia Shippos made contributions to the relays.

Boys’ Swimming

Coe-Brown 4th

Key performers: Coe-Brown – Tucker Raymond (2nd in 200 free, 2nd in 500 free), Shea Raymond (3rd in 50 free, 4th in 100 free), 400 free relay (4th)

Highlights: The Bears achieved a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams at the Oyster River Holiday Invitational conducted at the University of New Hampshire’s Swasey Pool on Sunday. The Raymond brothers, Braydan Behr, and Clemens Remi formed the victorious 400-freestyle relay team for Coe-Brown. Exeter (180), Oyster River (151), and Nashua South (146) were the top three teams, while Coe-Brown accumulated 81 points.

Girls’ Indoor Track

Concord 3rd

Key performers: Concord – Grace Saysaw (1st in 55 dash in 7.51 seconds), Ella Goulas (2nd in high jump, 2nd in long jump), Shelly Smith (2nd in 1,000), Consuelo Borico (2nd in shot put), Ballay Conteh (3rd in long jump, 6th in 55 dash), Chelsea Toenah (4th in 55 dash), Bakela Massaquoi (5th in 55 hurdles), Deborah Nishimwe (5th in shot put), 4×160 (1st)

Highlights: The Tide secured third place out of nine teams on Sunday at UNH. Bedford (110 points), Portsmouth (74), and Concord (67) were the leading three teams.

Boys’ Indoor Track

Concord tied 6th

Key performers: Concord – Tim Fahnbulleh (2nd in 55 dash), Spencer Clemans (2nd in 3,000), Connor McGahan (4th in 55 hurdles)

Highlights: The Crimson Tide finished with a tied position for sixth in a nine-team competition at UNH on Sunday. Londonderry (107), Bedford (84), and Portsmouth (49) were the leading three. Concord and Lebanon had a tie with 20 points each.
