Here are a few events on the horizon:

• Hiking Explorations from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Tatum Park, Middletown. Discover the park with your child aged 2-5 during this trek tailored for small legs and brief attention spans. Pre-registration and fee required.

• Gentle Aerobics from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 7-Feb. 25 at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, Tinton Falls. Boost your strength and enhance balance during this class that mixes light cardio with resistance exercises. Pre-registration and fee required.

• Tots in Tutus from 10:15-11 a.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 7-March 11 at the Tatum Park Red Hill Activity Center, Middletown. Allow your little dancer aged 3-4 to express themselves through fundamental dance movements during this session that focuses on creativity and fun. Pre-registration and fee required.

• Save the Date. National Seed Swap Day is set for 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Freneau Woods Park Visitor Center, Aberdeen. Exchange your seeds for something different. Seeds can be delivered ahead of time at the Huber Woods Park Environmental Center, Middletown. See further details. Free.
