(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – Conditions on the roads in Southeast Indiana are deteriorating as a result of the winter storm occurring on Sunday.

Dearborn, Ripley, and Franklin Counties are presently under an “Orange Watch” designation. This indicates that only essential travel, including commuting to work or in emergencies, is advised, and that businesses, schools, government entities, and other organizations should enact emergency action plans.

Additional counties within Southeast Indiana are currently at a “Yellow Travel Advisory,” however, it is highly likely that this will change in the next few hours as conditions worsen.

The winter storm is anticipated to produce significant snowfall, ice, and sleet on Sunday and Monday.
