Florida Showdown: Men Decimate Crusaders in Epic Clash

PENSACOLA, Florida – The No. 13 Ouachita men’s swimming and diving squad commenced the new year with a 197.5-89.5 victory over William Carey University on Saturday afternoon in Florida.
 
The Tigersharks secured 11 event triumphs.
 
Daniel Meszaros earned two victories in Florida. Meszaros claimed first in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 49.96 and the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 57.53.
 
Anthony Paculba also secured two wins on Saturday, finishing first in the 200 Freestyle (1:43.08) and winning the 200 IM by more than four seconds (1:57.08).
 
Zsombor Bujdoso achieved a victory in the 1000 Freestyle by nearly two seconds with a time of 10:25.37.
 
Elijah Donaldson triumphed in the 1-Meter Dive, scoring 239.70 points.
 
Carson Powers emerged victorious in the 3-Meter Dive, accumulating 203.48 points.
 
Sam Ragsdell clinched a win in the 100 Free with a clocking of 46.07.
 
Miles Schulze shared the top spot in the 50 Breaststroke, registering a time of 26.33.
 
David Ware won the 50 Butterfly with a time of 23.41.
 
The 200 Free Relay team consisting of Rafeal Bustillo, Ware, Meszaros, and Ragsdell clinched victory by nearly two seconds, clocking in at 1:24.78.
 
In total, Ouachita amassed 35 top three placements on their way to a victory of over 100 points against the Crusaders.
 
The No. 13 Tigersharks will return to competition next week, hosting the Falcons from Montevallo University on Saturday, January 11 at Waggoner Pool in Arkadelphia.
