NEW ORLEANS—The U.S. Army Esports Gaming Trailer is visiting nearby high schools to connect with student-gamers about utilizing their gaming abilities to forge professional paths in service, January 8 – 13.
The Esports Gaming Experience features gaming setups and seating equipped with the latest titles for cross-platform competitive gaming, aimed at helping students and working professionals comprehend the extensive career opportunities the Army provides.
The trailer is scheduled to visit the following high schools in the local vicinity this week:
New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy, January 8, Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Edna Karr High School, January 9, Thursday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Destrehan High School, January 10, Friday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
JCFA-East, January 13, Monday, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
“Its [AS10] influence is significant, and the Esports experience it presents consistently captivates student-gamers on how they can leverage gaming to pursue careers,” stated Capt. Matthew Gimenez, Commander of the New Orleans Recruiting Company.
The tour aims to stimulate genuine interest in gaming careers and military service among the talented youth of Crescent City.
“The Army has a broader range of career fields available than just the conventional ‘boots-on-the-ground’ roles, and this trailer sparks curiosity about dimensions of the Army beyond what students considered.” Gimenez remarked.
