This chapter transitioned into the Loess Hills Audubon Society (LHAS) upon formal incorporation by the Secretary of State of Iowa on June 1, 1984. The Loess Hills Audubon Society typically convenes on the first Thursday of each month from September to May, with monthly outings to prime birdwatching spots across Siouxland.
