These smart spectacles feature a minuscule invisible display

The Halliday Glasses are distinct from any smart spectacles I’ve encountered previously. They showcase a diminutive display located in the upper right corner of the frame which can assist you with everything from live translations and playing music to providing answers spontaneously using what the company refers to as proactive AI.
Imagine engaging in a dialogue with someone. The Halliday could verify facts in real time or provide responses that arise utilizing its near-eye display module equivalent to a 3.5-inch screen. You can also use these spectacles as a teleprompter.
The Halliday glasses feature integrated controls on the right arm, yet you can manage them with a ring to avoid the need to frequently touch your face. Priced at $499, these smart spectacles are not inexpensive, but they possess potential for peripheral vision intelligence. — Mark Spoonauer
Do you long for Guitar Hero? LiberLive has you sorted!
I have been playing guitar since the age of 12 and have cherished Guitar Hero just as long. Nonetheless, I can honestly confess that Guitar Hero turned out to be somewhat of a flash in the pan.
However, LiberLive C1 doesn’t merely continue that legacy; it is a collapsible and portable live music party all wrapped in one versatile instrument.
This is the first-ever stringless smart guitar that contains all the chords along its neck, a massive speaker system featuring a 3-inch woofer, and a 6-hour battery life for endless playing. Additionally, it can engage with your phone to develop playable rhythm games to your favorite tracks. — Jason England
This spoon enhances food salinity using electricity! Here’s how…
No, you have read that accurately. Kirin’s salt spoon performs a remarkable function for individuals aiming to lower their sodium intake and enhance heart health.
Just switch it on, select your intensity, and the spoon transmits a gentle electrical current through the food to amplify the sodium particles and intensify the taste. We will wait to thoroughly test it, but this is a brilliant concept!
Extend a greeting to Samsung’s latest TV lineup

Have you ever desired a lamp that trails you around?
If the Pixar lamp ruthlessly stomping the “i” wasn’t intimidating enough, the Mi-Mo AI Robot brings to life an unyielding table lamp that will stop at nothing to shadow you.
I am indeed being exaggerated. This autonomous gadget is actually quite impressive! Essentially, it signifies the next advancement in smart home technology, functioning as a small desk that can follow you around with a customizable AI model and interpret voice commands as well. Presently, it is available as part of a development kit.

Kate is back yet again with what is undoubtedly one of my favorite unexpected reveals from CES 2025. This remarkable TV concept displayed in the TikTok above is the StanbyME 2, essentially a massive 27-inch portable tablet (although it’s labeled a TV — a notable distinction, so don’t confuse the two.) It features a rolling base, yet the screen can be detached and outfitted with various straps and stands for complete mobility. It offers 4 hours of battery life (an additional hour compared to the original StanbyME) and upgrades its resolution from 1080p to 1440p. I realize I often express this about numerous fascinating gadgets, but I genuinely mean it when I say I must have this. It doesn’t take itself overly seriously, which is one of my favorite traits of a device unveiled during the show. — Kate Kozuch
Want to go incredibly large? Opt for Laser TV
We adore OLED and QLED TVs, but if you’re in search of the largest possible image, you must check out the Hisense L9Q. This laser projector will be offered alongside five varying sizes of Ambient Light Rejection (ALR) screens: 100, 110, 120, 136, and 150 inches.
Additionally, you’ll benefit from an astonishing brightness of 5,000 lumens, and the L9Q includes a built-in 6.2.2 surround sound system that accommodates Dolby Atmos for an authentically immersive home theater experience. — Mark Spoonauer
A robotic vacuum capable of picking up your socks
We’ve encountered robotic vacuums that can self-empty and function as mops, yet we haven’t seen anything quite like this. The Roborock Saros Z70 is equipped with a robotic arm that can identify lightweight obstacles such as socks and maneuver them out of the way seamlessly.
Within the Saros Z70’s structure is a telescoping robotic arm with a claw at its terminus. If the robot vacuum detects a sock, shoe, or another small item, it can automatically extend its arm, grasp the object, and relocate it to a designated spot — like a laundry basket.
In a demonstration we observed, the device was not flawless, yet this was merely a prototype. Additionally, take note that the weight of the item is constrained to 10.5 ounces. However, this robotic vacuum could simplify your life when it launches in May or June. — Mark Spoonauer
Belkin’s clever new charger provides your iPhone with that nostalgic point-and-click vibe
I never believed a charger could be among the most exciting initial announcements from CES, but then again, I’ve never encountered one that combines design and functionality so effortlessly. Belkin’s tage PowerGrip gives your iPhone that traditional point-and-click feel, incorporating the design of a DSLR camera to encase a MagSafe charger, phone stand, and wired charger into a compact, nostalgia-driven package.
Set to be available in May at an undisclosed price, it’s compatible with the iPhone 12 or newer models and comes in five beach-inspired colors: powder blue, sandbox, fresh yellow, pepper, and lavender. With its launch coinciding with graduation season, I have a hunch we’re going to witness this on many of the top iPhones come summertime. — Alyse Stanley

Hello, it’s Kate Kozuch again! The excitement surrounding smart glasses at CES 2025 is gaining momentum. While the Chamelo Aura color-changing tinted frames I highlighted in the TikTok above have been available for several months, they earned a CES 2025 honoree distinction, and I comprehend the enthusiasm. By pressing a button, the tint shifts among four different colors and lasts for weeks on a single charge. There will be an abundance of smart glasses/wearable announcements this week, so keep an eye out.

LG launches G5 and M5 OLED TVs
A new year signifies another Consumer Electronics Show, and we are here to cover all the major announcements from CES 2025! We’re starting off with significant news from LG.
The company just revealed two 4K OLED TVs for 2025: the G5 and the M5. The LG G5 serves as a successor to the G4, the brand’s impressive flagship OLED TV from the previous year, while the LG M5 (a successor to the M4 OLED) continues to use next-generation wireless technology that separates all of the TV’s inputs into a distinct box, transmitting audio and video to the M5’s OLED screen without any signal interruption.
Moreover, should these two TVs meet expectations, it promises to be an extraordinary OLED experience. Last year’s G and M Series models utilized LG’s Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology, which employs tiny lenses to refocus light for enhanced brightness. It remains uncertain whether the G5 and M5 will incorporate this impressive OLED technology, but I am certainly hoping they do, as it’s a significant game-changer.
Gamers will particularly appreciate that both the G5 and the M5 boast an attractive array of features that includes FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility, though the G5 is likely to draw the attention of serious gamers. Its native refresh rate has increased to 165Hz — up from last year’s 144Hz specification. The M5, however, remains consistent at 144Hz. — Michael Desjardin
