LG Electronics (LG) and multi-platinum artist and technology entrepreneur, will.i.am, are collaboratively introducing a new range of audio products branded as “xboom by will.i.am.”
This collection, comprising Bluetooth speakers and wireless earbuds, will be introduced at CES 2025 in Las Vegas this week, with the xboom Buds being the premier product available to consumers.
According to LG, the collaboration is designed to elevate xboom into a “culture-forward brand with an urban flair,” offering a fresh audio experience. will.i.am has been appointed as LG xboom’s “experiential architect,” though this seems to go beyond merely launching a new assortment of trendy catchphrases.
The company asserts that the artist will significantly contribute to defining a new niche for xboom within the audio market, drawing from his cultural legacy and technological expertise. will.i.am will offer “strategic guidance for the product development, design, and brand marketing” of LG xboom.
“Teaming up with a prestigious tech and lifestyle innovator like LG opens avenues for revolutionary and dynamic experiences that resonate with a broader community of music lovers,” states will.i.am. “By integrating our advanced technology and unique creative perspectives with LG xboom, we aim to cultivate an iconic culture where individuals can discover their music passion together at an entirely new level.”
All products under “xboom by will.i.am” carry the hallmark of will.i.am, who was actively involved in crafting LG xboom’s distinctive sound characterized by deep bass and a balanced, warm tone. There are two unique listening modes: one gear provides invigorating sounds that energize with potent bass, while the other delivers a calming experience filled with melodious tones.
Speakers feature ingenious details such as convenient straps and vibrant, interactive lighting synchronized with the music’s beat. Earbuds are ergonomically designed with ear tips and hooks to ensure a snug fit for an exceptional audio experience.
“This introduction signifies the unification of our wireless earbuds and Bluetooth speakers under one audio brand, LG xboom,” remarked Lee Jeong-seok, head of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company’s audio division.
All “xboom by will.i.am” offerings will incorporate will.i.am’s RAiDiO.FYI, an AI-driven interactive audio journey, that aims to engage a new generation of listeners with infotainment. RAiDiO.FYI enables users to immerse themselves, personalize experiences, and engage in real-time conversations through topic-oriented STAiTiONS.
LG and will.i.am will conduct product presentations and technology demonstrations at CES 2025 from today (January 6) until January 10).
