AUBURN, Ala. – The dual meet season for Auburn Swimming and Diving in 2025 kicks off on Tuesday, January 7 as the Tigers embark on a brief journey to Atlanta to compete against both Georgia Tech and Carson-Newman in a double dual format.

Events will commence at 11 a.m. CT within the renowned McCauley Aquatic Center. The meet will be broadcasted live on the ACC Network Plus.

Head coach Wochomurka guides the men’s and women’s squads, both of which are ranked within the top 20 of the latest CSCAA Coaches poll. The men’s team enters Tuesday ranked No. 14 while the women’s team holds the No. 19 position.

The Orange and Blue have shown strength in duals during the early stages of the 2024-25 season. The women’s team brings an unbeaten record (2-0) into the competition with victories over UNC-Wilmington and North Carolina, while the men’s team is balanced at 1-1.

Following an exciting midseason invitation in November, the Tigers possess four individual times that rank in the top 20 nationally. Georgia’s own Nate Stoffle is eighth in the nation for both the 100 and 200 backstroke, achieving a personal best of 1:39.36 in the 200 back, the second-fastest time of his career.

Additionally, Mason Mathias has recorded the 11th-fastest time in the 500 freestyle, and Anastasia Makarova ranks No. 18 in the 100 breaststroke.

The 2024-25 season has also showcased exceptional performances from Auburn’s freshmen. Lora Komoroczy entered the top 10 all-time for the Orange and Blue with a 51.83 in the 100 backstroke. Julia Strojnowska and Audrey Crawford matched Komoroczy’s effort in the 1000 freestyle and 200 breaststroke, respectively.

John Fox’s diving team has also performed admirably this season. Concluding the calendar year at the AU Diving Invite, Fox’s team has all achieved Zones marks. Notably, Olympian Emily Hallifax captured attention, nearly breaking Vennie Dantin’s 2012 record on the platform with an impressive score of 318.30.

Auburn will return to the Plains on Saturday, January 11 when the Tigers welcome SEC rival South Carolina for their inaugural home dual of the season.
