CES 2025 is currently in full swing – and although the major exhibition officially commences today (January 7), for media representatives (including the TechRadar crew), it’s already the second day of presentations and announcements. It’s been yet another bustling day of technology updates, so we’re summarizing the most notable highlights right here.
Consistent with the inaugural day of CES 2025, the gadgets and inventions showcased below will significantly influence the technology landscape this year. We’ve got major revelations from Samsung, Nvidia, and LG, alongside novel smartwatches, autonomous vacuums, AI-enhanced frying appliances, and… solar umbrellas (ideal for the next beach outing).
Since CES serves as a technology exhibition, immediate purchases of all these items may not be possible – but they offer insight into what to expect later in 2025, allowing you to begin budgeting now.

1. Samsung The Frame Pro TV
- Most notable feature: Integration of mini-LED technology
We have always been captivated by The Frame TV from Samsung – the set that serves as both a television and an art display – and here at CES 2025, the latest version has been introduced. The Frame Pro includes mini-LED tech and enhanced HDR, and the disparity between this and the 2024 edition is simply breathtaking.
There’s an additional brightness and some other refinements (like an improved refresh rate) that elevate The Frame Pro beyond a standard TV, and yet it retains all its charm when the Art Mode is engaged. We will need to assess the model more thoroughly, but it appears Samsung may have finally achieved the perfect balance this time.
2. Nvidia RTX 5090
- Most notable feature: True 8K gaming compatibility
We have been eagerly anticipating this moment, but the Nvidia RTX 5000 series GPUs are now officially revealed – including the high-end RTX 5090. Initial impressions: these graphics cards are equipped to fulfill their reputation, and they possess an immense amount of power, although acquiring them will come at a premium price.
The RTX 5090 brings 92 billion transistors, next-generation Tensor and Ray Tracing Cores, and more than twice the AI processing capacity of the RTX 4090 (which was already impressive). Additionally, it features 32GB of new GDDR7 VRAM, making it undoubtedly the most robust GPU available globally.
3. SwitchBot K20+ Pro
- Most notable feature: A unique mounting system
If you’ve ever wished your robotic vacuum could also serve you a sandwich while tidying up, check out the newly unveiled SwitchBot K20+ Pro. This model comes equipped with a mounting platform for adding accessories like fans, security cameras, and trays to deliver your lunch right to you (potentially).
It’s a clever concept that broadens the conventional robovac’s functions – it makes sense that it could also help with other tasks (like purifying indoor air) while maintaining cleanliness. Pricing for the device and its attachments will be essential to know, and we’ll uncover that at some point later in 2025.
4. LG xboom Stage 301
- Most notable feature: Suitable for floor use or on a stand
With its compact design and easy-to-use interface, the HMD OffGrid is perfect for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts. Although we don’t have specific details on its pricing or release date yet, there’s great anticipation for this product in the market. All of this comes at a price, specifically $199 / £169 upfront along with a $14.99 / £14.99 monthly subscription fee – but for some of you adventurers, that will undoubtedly be worth the investment. HMD has not disclosed the specific phones compatible with this feature, but we expect to learn more later in the month when the device becomes available for purchase.
11. Flic Duo
- Top feature: Extensively customizable and adaptable
Occasionally, the most effective gadgets are the most straightforward ones, and the Flic Duo exemplifies this from CES 2025: at first sight, it appears as a basic wall switch, but its two buttons can be configured in numerous ways, and besides responding to button presses, you can also manage connected devices through swiping.
For instance, you could adjust the luminosity of smart lights or raise and lower a smart blind by gliding your finger across one of the buttons. In addition to mounting it on a wall, you can effortlessly detach it and use it as you move around your residence, rendering it a flexible and practical controller for your smart devices.
