Jensen Huang Unleashes Cutting-Edge AI and Gaming Chips at CES 2025!

LAS VEGAS (AP) — In a crowded venue in Las Vegas, Nvidia founder Jensen Huang appeared on stage, expressing admiration for the stunning real-time computer graphics showcased on the display behind him. He observed a woman with dark hair stepping through intricate gilded double doors, absorbing the light streaming in from stained glass windows.

“The level of geometry you witnessed was absolutely remarkable,” Huang shared with an audience of thousands at CES 2025 on Monday evening. “Such a feat would have been unachievable without artificial intelligence.”

The semiconductor giant and AI celebrated launched its GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs for desktops and laptops — the company’s most sophisticated consumer graphics processing units tailored for gamers, creators, and developers. This technology is optimized for both desktop and laptop systems.

Prior to Huang’s address, Nvidia’s stock surged by 3.4%, reaching a new high since November. Nvidia and other AI stocks continue to rise despite worries about Nvidia’s stock price being inflated and the firm being overvalued.

Huang stated that the GPUs, equipped with the company’s cutting-edge AI chip Blackwell, can achieve remarkable advancements in AI-enhanced rendering.

“Blackwell, the powerhouse of AI, is now available for PC gamers, developers, and creatives,” Huang remarked, emphasizing that Blackwell “represents the most significant advancement in computer graphics since we unveiled programmable shading 25 years ago.” He noted that Blackwell technology is now fully operational.

Building upon the technology Nvidia introduced 25 years ago, the company proclaimed that it would also launch “RTX Neural Shaders,” leveraging AI to aid in rendering game characters in intricate detail – a process that is notoriously challenging as minor flaws in digital humans are easily detected.

Huang mentioned that Nvidia is also releasing a new array of technologies enabling “autonomous characters” to perceive, strategize, and act like human players. These characters can assist players in devising strategies or modifying tactics to challenge opponents and enhance the dynamics of battles.

Alongside Nvidia, major technology firms such as AMD, Google, and Samsung are participating in CES 2025 to showcase artificial intelligence solutions designed to support both content creators and consumers in their pursuit of entertainment.
