Saito of Brown University Clinches Wrestler of the Week Honor

PRINCETON, N.J. — As the calendar shifted, Ivy League wrestling persisted in its impressive 2024-25 season with numerous Ivies participating during the first weekend of January. On an individual level, Brown’s Blake Saito received Wrestler of the Week recognition for his outstanding performance at the Southern Scuffle.

WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Blake Saito, Brown (Sr., 157 – Powell, Ohio)

• Claimed the 157-pound title at the Southern Scuffle.
• Achieved victories over Daniel Graham (Belmont), Nick Sanko (Virginia), Trae McDaniel (Army), Tyler Badgett (Citadel), and Max Petersen (North Dakota State).
