ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University swimming & diving squads excelled in a dual competition against la Verne on Saturday. In the inaugural meet of 2025, the Panthers triumphed in 25 of the 26 events.

The event commenced with McKenzie Abbott and Reid Omilian dominating the diving categories, as both achieved the highest scores on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards.

The swimming teams further went on to win 23 of the 24 swimming events, securing decisive dual meet victories. Ryan Musich spearheaded the Low Tops with two wins in the 1000 free and 200 breast. Mati Dixon emerged victorious in all three of her events, clinching the 1000 free in her lone individual competition. Additionally, she contributed to her relay teams for 200 medley and 400 free, leading them to event triumphs.

Sara Talmaci secured first place in the 500 free and claimed second in the 200 free, while also assisting the 400 medley relay C team to a second-place result. Bianca Bayer captured victory in the 200 IM while also finishing third in the 500 free and aiding both her relay teams to achieve second-place standings.
