SAN DIEGO — The Cal State East Bay women’s swimming squad divided a double dual competition on Tuesday at the Aztec Aquaplex, succumbing to San Diego State 104-89 while conquering Colorado College 159-71. This marked the Pioneers’ first meet since November, as the 2024-25 season resumed with Tuesday’s contest. 

Here are some of the standout Cal State East Bay performances from Tuesday afternoon:

  • Brooklyn Dressel triumphed in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 51.08 seconds (NCAA ‘B’ Standard) and secured third place in the 50 freestyle (23.46), also meeting NCAA ‘B’ Standard criteria.
  • Tehani Kong came in first in the 100 yard butterfly (56.07).
  • Kylie Beaudet achieved third position in the 400 yard individual medley with a time of 4:33.15.
  • Hannah Sharp earned third in the 100 yard backstroke (57.68).
  • Miya French came in third in the 1000 yard freestyle, clocking in at 11:11.16.
  • The Pioneers’ 200 yard medley relay group consisting of Taylor Kolsch, Ally Dudley, Reese Veron, and Nella Pashak finished fourth overall with a time of 1:48.59 in the first women’s swimming event of the day.
  • To conclude the meet, the 200 yard freestyle relay squad of Dressel, Kong, Kali Mull and Delaney Carlson secured second place with a time of 1:36.92.

The Pioneers aim to capitalize on their performances in their upcoming meet, a dual against San Jose State. The event is set for this Friday, January 10, at 1 p.m. at the SRAC Pool in San Jose, California.
