The Lynn co-op swimming and diving squad (English-Classical) showcased their talents at Revere’s Garfield Elementary School on Tuesday, achieving a win of 86-66 over the Patriots.
“A plethora of excellent performances tonight,” stated Lynn coach Denise Silva.
Leading the charge in the 200 medley relay were Kaydee Rouse, Amanda Hughes, David Gamero, and Solomon Srey. Lynn also captured the first and third positions in the 200 freestyle with Kelsey Sinapius taking the lead and Cate Bushway finishing in third.
Silva remarked that the 200 individual medley was a “stunning race,” where Rouse and Hughes finished first and second, respectively. Darvon Kuffour took first place in the 50 freestyle, while Hurley Thelisma claimed second in the 100 fly.
The 100 freestyle saw Lynn sweep the podium with Rouse (1st), Jason Silva (2nd), and Srey (3rd). Sinapius triumphed in the 500 freestyle, followed by Bushway in second.
The 200 freestyle relay comprised of Rouse, Gamero, Mohamed Shehata, and Gerandry Gonzalez finished in first, while the 100 breaststroke resulted in a first and third finish with Hughes leading and Madisen McHale finishing third.
Srey, Jason Silva, Gamero, and Hughes clinched the 400 freestyle relay.
