“Sunita Williams Prepares for Epic 6.5-Hour Spacewalk Beyond the Stars!”

Nasa’s astronauts Nick Hague and Commander Suni Williams are poised to carry out the inaugural spacewalk of 2025.

The duo will exit the airlock on Thursday, January 16, at 7 a.m. EST. This operation, identified as U.S. spacewalk 91, is scheduled to occur outside the International Space Station (ISS) and is anticipated to take around six-and-a-half hours.

Throughout the spacewalk, Hague and Williams will leave the Quest airlock to fulfill several crucial duties.

Their principal goals comprise replacing a rate gyro assembly, vital for maintaining the station’s orientation, as well as servicing the Neutron star Interior Composition Explorer (NICER) X-ray telescope.

Moreover, they will prepare the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer for upcoming enhancements, ensuring that this essential instrument can further our knowledge of cosmic phenomena.
